FAQ’s

Is a dental implant procedure painful?

You shouldn’t feel any pain during the procedure. You may be sedated during the procedure or given local anaesthetic so you won’t feel any pain. At your consultation appointment, we will talk you through the procedure. You may experience minor discomfort for a short period following the procedure.

How long do they last?

The length of time they last depends on how well you look after your oral health. We recommend going for regular dentist appointments as well as hygiene visits. If you take good care of your dental implants they should last for many years to come.

What’s the difference between dental implants and dentures?

The main difference is that dental implants are permanently fixed, while dentures are removable.

We can sometimes secure dentures in place. Dentures are removeable but can be made semi-permanent by using dental implants.
